Helen Techler

Dr. Techler received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, followed by a Master of Science Degree in Audiology from the University of South Florida. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences, A.T. Still University.  She is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology, holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and the Florida Academy of Audiology. 

She specializes in hearing aid technology and dispensing, as well as electrophysiology.  She has 25 + years of experience in diagnostic Audiology, prescribing and fitting hearing instruments.  She enjoys seeing and helping patients of all ages with their communication needs. 

While at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center for 10 years, she taught medical students and residents  electronystagmography, auditory brainstem response, electrocochleography and electroneuromyography.  She supervised Audiology and Speech Pathology graduate students at the University of South Florida Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. 

Dr. Techler is a former professional figure skater with “Holiday On Ice” National Tour.  When not seeing patients, she enjoys ballroom dancing, painting, singing, playing piano, cruising and spending time with family and friends.  She has been happily married to her husband, Jerry, since 2013.
